About Scott:

I began my digital media career as an editor at WROC-8, as well as working with studio cameras and running the audio board. These aspects of both pre-production and production taught me how to prioritize quality content; to tell an entire story in a limited amount of time. I then trained as a photographer/videographer at WROC and WHEC-10, where I was finally able to capture, edit, and produce each story in its entirety through my own unique viewpoint. This gave me the skills to be able to utilize my creative freedom while still holding true to the stations’ values.

After working in the news industry for nearly 3 years, I transitioned to the A/V Coordinator position at the Newark Central School District. Among many responsibilities, I collaborated directly with students, colleagues, and the administration to put on broadcasts while creating educational materials and entertainment for the district, including sports and concerts. I balanced a wide range of requests on a daily basis, utilized the Adobe Suite, managed students, broadcast live news, and troubleshooting on a large-scale. Here I also started and coordinated the WNHS Club, where both myself and my students were constantly challenged to create, edit, and broadcast numerous events and projects. Additionally, I managed all Social Media platforms for each of the 5 schools within the District.

Gaining Public Relations skills in an educational environment opened the doors to authentic Marketing experience when I shifted to my current position at Seabreeze Amusement Park, a family-owned, and family-oriented cornerstone in Rochester, NY.  I work side-by-side with the Marketing Director, who owns a share of the park. With our combined efforts, we determine the best methods for maintaining a positive family-based marketing image while continually exceeding sales goals. I utilize Google Ads, SEO, SEM, Social Media, and manage special events within the park, ranging from a 10K marathon for charity to seminar-style orientations with groups of 200 or more. I also serve as the Media Relations specialist for Crisis/PR issues.

The proficiency I have accumulated through these and many other experiences have allowed me to gain many necessary industry skills. When it comes down to it, I continually work hard in any type of environment that I am introduced to, I enjoy the creative process of media production, and I have the people skills that are necessary in the field of Marketing. I believe I can carry out responsibilities effectively and efficiently, and hope that I may have the opportunity to prove I myself in any task.
